Health, Safety, & Environment Officer

we pride ourselves on our certifications, including Rainforest Alliance, Fair Trade, and FSSC 22000. We are looking for a dedicated and qualified Health, Safety, and Environment Officer to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations,
    as well as internal policies, to maintain our certifications and uphold high industry standards.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular inspections across our operations to assess safety risks,
    environmental impact, and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Policy Implementation: Develop and implement internal health, safety, and environmental
    policies, ensuring they align with regulatory standards and certification requirements.
  • Training & Development: Lead training sessions for staff across all levels to foster a culture of
    safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Certification Management: Support the business in maintaining certifications such as Rainforest
    Alliance, Fair Trade, and FSSC 22000. Familiarity with these standards will be a strong advantage.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Educational Background: A relevant degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and
    Safety, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental
    management, preferably in an agricultural or manufacturing setting.
  • Certifications: Any additional certifications in health, safety, or environmental management will be an asset.
  • Experience with Certifications: Experience with Rainforest Alliance, Fair Trade, and FSSC 22000
    certifications is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of safety legislation and environmental management practices, excellent
    communication and training skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Personal Qualities: We seek a mature, professional individual with a strong work ethic, attention
    to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
