Background
As part of its expansion drive, Farmers World Limited wishes to recruit suitably qualified person to fill the following existing vacancy, which is tenable at its Farmers World Head Office, Kanengo, Lilongwe.
Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Job Summary
Working hand in hand with the Senior Stock Controller updating the manager on the stock position.
Functions
- Supervising warehouse Staff and daily activities
- Managing, evaluating, and reporting on daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse activities.
- Trucking and coordinating the receipt, storage and timely delivery and shipment of goods from the warehouse.
- Supervising quality management by ensuring that received goods are properly inspected in terms of quality, quantity, damages, and expiries.
- Presenting to the senior stocks’ controller timely stock replenishment as per the re-order levels.
- Checking orders, items received, inventory and deliveries for accuracy.
- Supervising good record keeping ensuring each item has a manual bin card and relevant information.
- Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
- Supervising daily stock checks ensuring physical goods are matching with the bin cards and the system.
- Communicating and coordinating well with all warehouse staff and other departments.
- To be in the for front participating in the Health and Safety issues.
- Any other duties assigned from time to time.
Experience, Minimum Skills and Qualifications Required
- MSCE
- Diploma in Purchasing and supply.
- 3 years experience in a similar role.
