WEMAS is the fastest growing medical insurance company in Malawi with its Head Office in Lilongwe and a Branch Office in Blantyre. We are a dynamic company that is the leader in innovation in the health insurance industry.
We are in the process of strengthening our Marketing Team and as a result we are seeking the services of suitably qualified people to fill the position of Retail Sales Officer tenable at our offices in Lilongwe and Blantyre.
THE PEOPLE
WEMAS seeks to recruit dynamic and results-oriented sales people with experience in retail sales especially in health or life insurance sectors. The Retail Sales Officers will be reporting to the Retail Sales Manager.
We welcome candidates who have been tried in the field of retail sales and have good experience in selling health/life insurance products. The people MUST have a high level of integrity and MUST demonstrate a high level of dedication to work.
ROLE PURPOSE
The Retail Sales Officers will be responsible for driving sales of our retail products through their own effort. The Retail Sales Officers will be assigned targets and shall ensure that their targets are always met. This is a salaried permanent position and therefore requires mature people who can work independently towards the achievement of their business goals.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Qualification
- A Diploma in Marketing or Business Administration is a key requirement;
- Those with Professional Qualifications in marketing will be considered favourably.
2. Experience
- Demonstrated experience of at least 2 years in health or life insurance sales operations.
3. Knowledge and Skills
- Must be aged between 25 and 45 years
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must be willing to work rigorously towards achieving targets set by the Company from time to time.
- High credibility and strong reputation as a sales person who can create trust with customers
- A demonstrable thinker with a focus on effective implementation;
- Must be able to build lasting relationships with customers;
