Health For All Initiative (HEFAI) is a youth led non-governmental organization that was founded in 2021by a team of like-minded individuals who believe in promoting sexual reproductive health equity. HEFAI provides contraceptives to women in rural Malawi who wouldn’t otherwise have access. We are working toward a vision where all women, especially adolescent girls and young women in hard-to-reach areas, have knowledge and access to proven effective public health interventions.
The Program Intern will work with the Executive Director to develop, implement and evaluate program goals and objectives. The Program Intern will also be responsible for conducting research, writing reports, and maintaining program records. Other duties will include program marketing and outreach, as well as event planning and coordination. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, as well as experience working with program development, implementation and evaluation. Strong writing, research, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and take initiative.
Duties & Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for programmatic inquiries, correspondence, and data requests

Assist with the planning and execution of programmatic events and meetings

Help to develop and maintain positive relationships with key partners and stakeholders

Support the creation and distribution of programmatic marketing and promotional materials

Conduct research on potential new programs and initiatives

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant trends and developments in the field

Prepare reports, presentations, and other programmatic documentation as needed

Provide administrative support to the programmatic team, including scheduling, travel arrangements, expense reporting, and invoicing

Help to manage programmatic budgets and track spending

Monitor programmatic outcomes and impact, and make recommendations for improvement

Serve as a resource to program participants, providing information and guidance as needed

Perform other duties as assigned from time to time
Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field
-
1 year professional experience, preferably in program management or a similar role

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
