The Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) is inviting applications from suitably : qualified and experienced candidates to fill vacant positions existing in its Programmes Directorate as follows:
PRINCIPAL PRODUCERS/ PRESENTERS FOR TELEVISION – 2 POSITIONS
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Comes up with new ideas and concepts for shows
- Acquires rights to media, books, songs, footage and plays
- Coordinates all aspects of programme production in and outside the studios
- Writes or edits script before production or post production
- Conducts research for program content and develop program concepts
- Produces and present programs vii. Secures funding for projects
- Identifies new talents and creativity in line with MBC programmes
- Ensures that all health and safety guidelines are followed
Qualifications, Experience &Attributes
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication/ Journalism/Media Studies from a reputable institution
- Four years television work experience
- Able to multi-task and manage time well
- Experience using television equipment, such as cameras and microphones
- Experience in developing program proposal
- Relevant skills in communication, leadership and creativity
- Experience in research is an added advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly engaging, versatile and adaptable
- Ability to keep up with industry trends in the media landscape
