Family Planning Association of Malawi (FPAM) is a local, nongovernmental organization providing youth friendly sexual and reproductive health rights, information, and services. FPAM compliments the government of Malawi in improving the health status of all people in Malawi. FPAM’s vision is a Malawian society with access to quality and comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services and information.

FPAM is looking for suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant position.

JOB TITLE: MONITORING AND EVALUATION COORDINATOR

REPORTS TO: MONITORING AND EVALUATION LEAD

JOB ROLE:

The M&E shall be responsible for establishing and managing a robust monitoring, research and evaluation system with well-defined results, milestones, and targets for the implementation of projects.

1. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all project activities/results to SMT through the M and E Lead.
  • Situation and Gap Analysis: Conduct comprehensive situation and gap analyses for M&E and reporting within SHR. Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats within the current M&E framework Provide input, information, and service statistics for quarterly, annual and other reports to Project Management Team and FPAM.
  • Participate in annual project reviews and planning workshops and assist the Project Coordinator in preparing relevant reports.
  • Data Collation and Synthesis: Facilitate the collation and synthesis of existing SHR and related data into a coherent, actionable dashboard.
  • Assist Project Coordinator in preparing monthly and quarterly reports on project progress based on DHIS2/Kobo Toolbox reports on project activities.

2. EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Social Sciences such as Economics, Statistics, Project Management, and other relevant fields.

3. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Proven success in designing, implementing, and operating project M&E systems from project initiation to closeout stages.
  • Experience implementing procedures and practices to ensure data quality and verification, including data quality assessments.
  • Experience using DHIS for data collection, reporting and visualization.
  • Experience with using supportive approaches to building capacity at service delivery points to accurately record, document, report and use data.
