Qualifications and Attributes
Applicants should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

Candidates applying for the Lecturer position must hold a Master’s or PhD in Fine Art, Visual Arts, or other relevant fields such as Graphic Design or Graphic Art, along with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum award of credit.

For the positions of Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, or Professor, candidates must have a strong record of publications in their area of expertise and demonstrate initiative in research, community outreach, and engagement, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above.

A minimum of 3 years of work experience in graphic design, graphic art, creative entrepreneurship, digital design, multimedia design, publication design, corporate design, or a related field.

A portfolio showcasing professional exhibitions, displays, or the production of graphic works.

Experience in university teaching will be considered an added advantage.

In addition to these qualifications, applicants must demonstrate proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Corel Graphics Suite, or PaintShop Pro.
Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates shall be expected to perform the following duties:

Teaching, setting and timely marking examinations for assigned courses.

Engaging in the development of curricula for undergraduate studies currently, and postgraduate studies in the short term for successful candidates above senior lecturer.

Conducting research, consultancies and publishing in the area of specialisation.

Supervising student projects.

Participating and presenting in academic seminars, exhibitions and outreach activities.

Preparing students for project presentations.

Performing any other academic and official duties assigned by the Head of Department from time to time.
