Double Universal Construction Engineering Company (DUCEC) is recruiting for the position of Interpreter for its projects in Chikwawa District. The role of an Interpreter is to interpret conversations from one source language (English /Chewa) to another target language (Chinese), either orally or through signs.
As an Interpreter, you must be an active listener. You must be able to understand the speaker’s exact meaning and translate it as exactly as possible, making sure you understand the speaker’s
emotions and state of mind.
Your duties will include traveling with clients to assist them in communicating with those who speak different languages, translating spoken presentations or speeches for multilingual audiences, and helping translate spoken words into written messages.
The successful candidate will be remunerated commensurate with experience and market competitiveness.
