Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Financial Crimes Manager tenable at Head Office under the Compliance Department.
Reporting to the Head of Compliance the successful candidate will assist in implementing and maintaining a fit for purpose AML/CFT compliance framework and ensure proper monitoring and testing of AML/CFT Compliance processes for effectiveness, ensuring the business complies with all AML/CFT Regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Advisory support on AML/CFT issues to the business units.
- Periodic reviews of high-risk customers including PEPs and ensuring KYC compliance status.
- Transaction Monitoring for tax compliance (FATCA).
- Review of high risk and entity new to bank customers and entity accounts.
- Review and ensure that all accounts are risk rated in the system.
- Review of correspondent banking KYC and money transfer agents (MTAs).
- Provide feedback on KYC requests from correspondent banks.
- Product Risk Assessment and monitoring
- Assist in conducting risk Assessment for the business and review risk controls for effective risk
management across the business. - Ensure that staff are trained on AML/CFT.
- Regulatory Call Reports and submission of report on diaspora remittances.
- Timely submission of the monthly compliance report for Management Compliance Committee

Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Economics or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of bank regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of AML/CFT and operational risk regulations
- CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) certification,
- Broad understanding of Bank products
- Understanding of audit and operational risk requirements
