INTERNSHIP VACANCY

Job Title: Cashier
Job Location: Blantyre

Your preferred Microfinance House

The Cashier Intern will be reporting to the Finance and Accounts Consultant.

He/she will support Sycamore Credit Limited with cash management from customers.

He/she will have primary responsibility for achieving the ambitious growth strategy and for positioning Sycamore Credit Limited as a leading provider of high-quality financial services in Malawi.

This will include the following key areas:

  • Cash Management
  • Disbursement Management
  • Cash Custody
  • Cash Reconciliation
  • Compliance
  • Cashier office security

Requirements:

  • Diploma in accounting and 1 year experience working as cashier under internship.
  • Should be well-versed in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Direct experience in a micro finance institution will be an added advantage
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Good customer relationship management
  • Should be a self-starter
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and ability to embrace and manage change at all times.
  • Excellent communicator in both written and verbal skills in English

Note: The position will be based in Blantyre. All shortlisted candidates will be subject to face to
face interview, together with criminal checks and a security clearance.
