Carpenter (x2) at Reserve Bank of Malawi

The Reserve Bank of Malawi is inviting applications to fill the posts of Carpenter and Driver tenable at the Head Office and Blantyre Branch.

CARPENTER (2 POSITIONS)
Reporting to the Building Foreman, the successful candidate will, among other duties, be responsible for:

The Job

• Carrying out carpentry maintenance works of Bank Building and institutional houses, repairing Bank Building, guest house roofs, office and domestic furniture;
• Carrying out furniture assembly and repair; and Carrying out preventive maintenance works.

The Person

• Must possess a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) plus City & Guilds or TEVETA Advanced Craft Certificate in Carpentry & Joinery with 3 Years in Construction Industry;
• Must be aged between 25 – 35 years;
• Must have:
  1. Good understanding of building technology and timber designs and treatment;
  2. Adequate planning skills;
  3. Knowledge for safe maintenance of Bank equipment and furniture.
