Job Summary
We are seeking a Business Development Officer to drive growth and market expansion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and contributing to PayChangu’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand PayChangu’s merchant network.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with merchants, banks, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform business strategy.
- Lead negotiations and onboarding processes for new merchants and partners.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop sales strategies and promotional campaigns.
- Prepare reports on business performance, market trends, and growth opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in fin- tech, banking, or payments.
- Strong understanding of Malawi’s financial services and digital payments landscape.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
