Operations Officer at Target Security Group

Target Security Group, a fully integrated multidisciplinary security and facilities management company, is recruiting an Operations Officer.

In this position, you will be responsible for enforcing all the company rules, policies, and procedures. You will also conduct proper training and oversight according to contract and company specifications. This position will provide quality service through post inspections and will be responsible for the gathering, documenting, and reporting of all incidents, as well as strengthening communication between security officers, management, and clients.

This position is tenable at our Mzuzu office

Main Responsibilities
Duties and essential functions but not limited to:
• Conducting training of all new Target security group security officers.
• Maintaining close working relationship with clients.
• Maintaining the professional operation, administration, and quality assurance of uniformed services for the site.
• Conducting investigations, when necessary, in collaboration with external
agencies.

The Ideal Candidate.
Education, Licenses and Certifications Required.
• Must possess the Malawi School Certificate of Education.

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required.
• Must possess:
o A minimum of Five years of prior experience on active duty in a busy and
reputable security company.
o Those that have served in the Malawi Defence force or the Malawi Police
Service have an added advantage.

Skills Required.
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with clients.
• Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
• Active listening skills.
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively.
• Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
• Attention to detail.
• Computer skills is a MUST.

Other requirements.
• Must be not less than 35 years.
• Must be in possession of valid Drivers’ license issued by the Malawi government.
• Must be in possession of a National ID issued by the Malawi government.

Physical Requirements.
• Candidates should be physically capable of performing tasks that involve
mobility for prolonged periods
