Our Lodge & Spa is a cozy and vibrant lodge specializing in providing affordable and comfortable accommodation for backpackers, city travelers and international guests. With a welcoming atmosphere, we focus on creating memorable travel experiences for our diverse clientele. We are seeking a dedicated and organized Spa Specialist to join our team!

Job Summary:

The Spa & Massage Specialist is responsible for delivering a range of spa services, including massages and wellness treatments, while ensuring a relaxing and soothing experience for all guests. This role requires a deep knowledge of health and wellness practices, a passion for guest care, and the ability to tailor services to meet individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

● Perform various types of massages (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone) according to the spa’s standards and based on guest preferences and needs.
● Provide additional spa treatments such as facials, body wraps, scrubs, and aromatherapy.
● Customize treatments to ensure guests receive personalized services based on their health and wellness goals.
● Greet guests warmly and professionally, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed about their treatment options.
● Consult with guests prior to treatments to understand their specific needs, preferences, and any medical conditions.
● Follow up with guests after treatments to ensure satisfaction and provide recommendations for ongoing wellness.
● Maintain a clean, organized, and calming environment in treatment rooms, following all hygiene and sanitation standards.
● Maintain knowledge of the spa’s menu of services, pricing, and special promotions to assist guests with their selections.
● Collaborate with other Lodge staff, to ensure a seamless and enjoyable guest experience.
● Handle guest feedback, complaints, or special requests in a professional and timely manner, escalating to management when necessary.

Qualifications:

● High school diploma or equivalent required; training in massage therapy or a related field preferred.
● Experience working in spas, wellness centers, or hospitality settings is required.
● Strong communication and customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction and address individual needs.
● Ability to create a calming and welcoming environment for clients.
● Ability to perform massage services for extended periods while maintaining proper posture and technique.
● Punctual, reliable, and well-organized.
● Passion for health, wellness, and helping clients achieve their goals.
● Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
● Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold the spa’s standards for professionalism and discretion.

Preferred Skills:

● Strong command of the English language
