Post : Workshop Technician (Painting and Decoration) (Grade K)
Salary : Within the Grade K salary scale segment
Location : Ministry of Labour

Applicants must be in possession of a Malawi Certificate of Education (MSCE) and either Malawi Advanced Certificate Advanced Teveta Certificate (level 3) in Painting and Decoration
or City and Guilds Technician Diploma (with red ribbon); Painting and Decoration obtained after successful completion of recognized indentured apprenticeship in the profession.


  • Assisting technical teacher in teaching;
  • Assessing recording and reporting student progress;
  • Preparing scheme of work and lesson plans;
  • Supervising students during workshop practice;
  • Arranging materials for workshop practice instructions
  • Preparing materials for practical assessment examination;
  • Enforcing classroom and workshop cleanliness;
  • Assisting in maintaining class register and students progress records;
  • Enforcing adherence to health and safety practice; and
  • Performing any other duties as may be assigned.

Documentary evidence of major requirements specified in the advertisement shall be required during interviews. Serving officers will also be required to demonstrate during the interviews
that they are permanent and pensionable officers in the Civil Service by producing letters of confirmation in appointment in addition to letters of condition of appointment on probation (PSR 19).
