WELDER (1 POSITION)
Unitrans Malawi Ltd, a prominent employer in the sugar and agriculture logistics industry wants to recruit a suitably qualified person of Malawian origin to fill the following vacancy that has arisen at Nchalo Depot:
Welder
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the successful person will be responsible for:-
- Constructing and repairing steel and other metal components using a variety of welding techniques.
- Welding together metal components of products such as pipelines, automobiles, among others, with electric arc-welding equipment.
- Connecting cables from welding unit to obtain amperage, voltage, slope and pulse, as specified by welding specialist.
- Carry our all duties and responsibilities assigned to you in full compliance with safety and health regulations at all times.
Qualifications and experience
1. Must have at least Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE);
2. Applicants must have grade 1(one) National Trade
3. City & Guilds part 2 or 3. With advanced Craft will be an added advantage
4. Applicants must have not less than 3 years’ experience in Mig welding
