World Bicycle Relief

Job Title:                   WAREHOUSE  Controller

 

Reports To:               Chief Operations Officer

Responsible For:        None

Level/Grade:  Grade C2

Purpose:

To implement proper stock management procedures and oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value adding service and dispatch of a stock.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s and vision
  2. Oversee receiving warehouse, distribution and maintenance
  3. Planning coordinate and monitoring the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch
  4. Manage and oversee the operations of the Warehouse, assembly and spare parts cage
  5. Check documents for thoroughness and completeness and prepare additional documentation when necessary
  6. Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilisation.
  7. Constantly improve the skills, work ethic, and efficiency of assembly line employees
  8. Maintain inventory records of Bicycles and spare parts
  9. Develop and implement improvements to assembly line procedures, equipment and fixtures that improve efficiency and quality
  10. Maintain the assembly facility in a manner that assures its ongoing usability, cleanliness, safety and security
  11. Adhere to all warehousing , handling and shipping legislation requirements
  12. Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies.
  13. Planning Coordinating & monitoring the receipt , ordering , assembly and dispatch of Bicycles and spare parts

Skills and Personal Attributes:

  1. Attention to detail
  2. Good command of Microsoft Office ,email, phone , photographs and drawings
  3. Excellent interpersonal skill

Knowledge Required:

  • A clear understanding of quality control procedures
  • A clear understanding of the standards expected
  • Proven warehouse management experience

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Secondary School Education Certificate
  • Diploma in inventory management or related course

 

Mental Demands/Judgement and Initiative:

  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Maintain detailed records using spreadsheets

 

Communications:

  • Prepares and submits written monthly activities and implementation plan
