VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Mzuzu City Council wishes to fill newly non established positions of Ward Rangers within the wards of Mzuzu City. The objective of establishing these posts is to support block/ward offices in supplementary properties valuation, collection of revenue and other council ward activities. As such it invites applications from suitably qualified Malawians within the following wards (Mchengautuwa east, Chibavi west & east, Luwinga, Zolo zolo west and East) to fill these positions in as follows;

POST: Ward Rangers (14)

GRADE:(M10) non-established
PERIOD: SIX (6) Months contract
LOCATION: Mzuzu City Various wards
REPORTING TO: Revenue Supervisor

DUTIES

  • Support properties valuation and revenue ranging within their respective wards/blocks
  • Issuing of Stop Notices/Enforcement Notices
  • In collaboration with Town planning rangers ensure that developments follow standards in accordance with Mzuzu City Bylaw
  • Advising Developers on issues of development
  • Reporting illegal developments to relevant authorities
  • Prepare and maintain the tenant register and lease agreements. Handling customers enquiries
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

QUALIFICATION:

A minimum of a Malawi School Certificate of Education with credit in Mathematics, English and Geography. Those with additional qualification will have added advantage.
