Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute (SMEDI), a parastatal organization mandated to promote the development and growth of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), intends to recruit the services of well-qualified, experienced and result oriented persons to fill various positions tenable at its Head Office in Lilongwe and various satellite offices across the country as follows:
Position – Waitress (2 Positions)
Grade – SBU 4
Duty Station – Mponela Enterprise Development Centre, Mponela, Dowa.
Qualifications and attributes
- A minimum of certificate in Hospitality and Tourism Management with at least 3 years relevant experience;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, dynamic and well disciplined;
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written;
- High levels of honesty and integrity;
- Friendly personality;
- Attention to details;
- Must be computer literate.
Selected Duties and Responsibilities
• Welcoming guests in the restaurant and other service areas;
• Menu presentation – explaining food items and service to the guests;
• Maintaining hygiene and restaurant/service settings at all times;
• Maximizing sales and revenue in the restaurant/service areas;
• Proper care of stocks/inventories in her possession.
