Glorious Light International Church invites applications from suitable qualified candidates to fill the position of Videographer tenable at its Headquarters, Lilongwe.

Position Summary

Videographer shoots and creates video content for television, social, web and other outlets. Operates and maintain video, lighting and audio equipment. Being a photographer incorporates composition and lightening techniques to shoot high quality video in various indoor or outdoor setting. Utilize editing software to increase graphics, visual Assets and edit footage.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organizing shot footage for post-production for archives
  • Drive video projects through from pre-production to the post-production process to achieve interesting video content whilst maintaining integrity
  • Coordinate stakeholders to conceptualize video ideas all the way to the shoot and post-roduction
  • Take ownership for pre-production, shooting, editing and assisting in production and post-production, editing from scratch, relying on creative instincts and industry best-practices
  • Selection and implementing special visual effects, music, and special audio for each video shoot
  • Converting videos shot in-house videos that were outsourced to the proper format for different marketing channels
  • Partner with corporate communications and leadership to elevate internal communications through video
  • Creates quality multimedia storytelling using photography, videography and text that accurately informs, entertains and engages our audience
  • Works with editors to evaluate what’s working and what’s not, and develops ongoing plans to better satisfy audience needs
  • Keep current in the field of videography and social media
  • Monitor the Technical quality of all videos and pictures and maintain the Digital Library.

Prerequisites and Education

  • Associate’s Diploma in Video Production, Fine Arts, Film, Radio / TV or related field
  • Direct video production experience (5 Years) may be substituted for education.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of all aspects of video production, including camera operation, lighting, editing, and posting.
  • Skill in time management and the ability to manage multiple projects as well as some basic knowledge of academic medicine
  • The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.
  • Strong communication, written and social media skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • The ability to be an innovative & strategic thinker.
