TREASURER AND CREDIT CONTROLLER (REF” CO2024/03/14″)
JOB PURPOSE:
The Treasurer and Credit Controller, reporting to the Finance Manager, is responsible for managing the Treasury and Credit Department in accordance with group guidelines and the company’s Treasury and Credit Policies and Procedures.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The position’s key principal accountabilities, include the following:
TREASURY:
- Ensure proper management of cash and overdraft facilities at all times.
- Manage proper execution of Forex deals in accordance with treasury policies and procedures.
- Ensure issuance of bonds and guarantees on timely basis and properly controlled.
CREDIT CONTROL:
- Timely order processing (including payments plans) and delivery to customers on time in accordance with the Company’s credit policies.
- Ensure that Accounts Receivable Controls are in place and being applied.
- Proactively manage Credit Exposure.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND APTITUDES:
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or related discipline. A Masters in Finance with ACCA qualification preferred.
- At least 4 years’ experience in credit and treasury control in a busy environment.
- Hands on experience in use of SAP software.
- Knowledge of Retirement Benefits Act and knowledge of Pension and Provident Rules and Regulations.
