The Malawi Electoral Commission, “the Commission”, is a body corporate created under Section 75(1) of the Constitution, to supervise, direct and preside over the conduct of all elections in Malawi.

In accordance with Section 13 of the Malawi Electoral Commission Act, the Commission seeks to appoint a suitably qualified person with relevant experience to fill the following vacant position within its secretariat.

A. TEMPORARY POSTS

Job Title: Temporary Warehouse Assistants
Number Required : 240
Responsible to: Warehouse Manager
Location: MEC Warehouses; Main Warehouse Lilongwe 100, Regional Offices (N) – 40, Regional Offices (C) – 50, Regional Offices (S) – 50
Purpose : To enhance smooth flow and accountability of election materials and equipment.

Key duties & responsibilities

  • Physical stock counting of electoral materials
  • Stock recording keeping
  • Packing and packaging election materials
  • Consolidation of election kits
  • Distribution and retrieval of election materials to designed centres
  • Any other duties assigned from time to time

Qualifications

• Minimum MSCE
