World Vision International in Malawi therefore is currently looking for dedicated professional Christians to fill the vacant post of TEMPORARY FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT under the Global Fund Indoor Residual Spray programme being implemented in Nkhatabay, Balaka & Mangochi for a period of four months. Purpose of Position:
Reporting to the Senior Grants Accountant the incumbent will be required to serve as the cashier for the organization and ensure that the organizations policies relating to cash management are applied and enforced by ensuring that accurate supporting documentation is maintained for the all cash related transactions through accurately recording in the ledger. Be responsible for the processing of all payments made through mobile Money and ensuring these are accurately accounted for, recorded and reconciled in the books of account.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures fuel float management and reconciliation
  • Generates mobile money payment processing including stakeholder/ beneficiary payments of activities in the district
  • Reports and reconciles mobile money accounts/payments
  • Supports risk and compliance management of all office operations
  • Assists in inventory management and logistical planning for trainings and meetings
  • Fleet management for effective management of administration issues

Knowledge, abilities, qualifications and experience required:

  • A holder of a Diploma in Accountancy with some experience in Administration. Those with Bachelor’s degree have an added advantage
  • Proven experience which demonstrates mastery of computerized accounting systems (Sun Systems, Query and Analysis Excel)
  • At least six months’ work experience in a busy accounting office
  • Workable knowledge in Microsoft Office computer packages such as Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Recent graduates of exceptional standing can be considered for the role and trained
  • Organized with excellent people and financial management
  • Honest person of unquestionable Integrity.
  • Excellent written & spoken English
