VisionFund Malawi is seeking to recruit a pool of qualified and motivated Enumerators on a temporary basis, to support numerous data collection activities for various impact measurement initiatives. These initiatives focus to understand the changes experienced by clients and their children that are linked to the work of VisionFund.

JOB TITLE: Temporary Enumerators (10)

Department: Business Development
Reports to: Senior Impact Officer
Location: Head Office, Lilongwe

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct data collection through face-to-face interviews, phone surveys, or online questionnaires as assigned.
  • Accurately record responses using standardized data collection tools (paper forms, tablets, or software).
  • Adhere to established data collection protocols, ensuring data quality and completeness.
  • Build rapport with respondents to encourage participation and accurate responses.
  • Clearly explain survey questions, actively listen to respondents, and clarify any misunderstandings.
  • Follow skip logic within surveys to ensure all relevant questions are asked.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all respondent information.
  • Meet assigned quotas and deadlines for data collection.
  • Report any challenges or issues encountered during data collection to the Impact Measurement Officer.
  • Participate in training sessions on data collection methods, tools, and VFM’s impact measurement framework.

  • Should have data analytical skills
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Organized and reliable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in data collection (surveys, interviews, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in data collection software (if applicable).
  • Fluency in Chichewa and/or other local languages relevant to the project area is essential.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of Diploma or Advance Diploma in ICT, Community Development or any related field from an accredited institution; a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or any related field will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) with a pass in English Language.
