Smallholder Farmers Fertilizer Revolving Fund of Malawi (SFFRFM) was incorporated in 1988 as a Trust Fund under the Trust Incorporation Act of 1992 to procure, store, distribute, and sell fertilizers to smallholder farmers. Its primary role was to ensure that smallholder farmers, defined as farmers who grow their crops on customary land have an opportunity to access and buy affordable fertilizer at all times.
The Fund is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates of Malawian origin to fill the following positions:
TEMPORARY COMPLIANCE OFFICERS
a) JOB TITLE: TEMPORARY COMPLIANCE OFFICERS
Department: Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation
Grade: F7
Reporting to: Regional Business Officer
Responsible for: AIP Temporary Sales Clerks
b) PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Temporary Compliance Officer shall be responsible for monitoring, supervising and facilitating AIP project transaction for a cluster.
c) KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties
- Review all cash sales (fertilizer redemption) and general receipts
- Review and ensure depot cluster reconciliation of sales are done according to prescribed procedures
- Ensure all sales cash for cluster are banked accurately and timely
- Production of weekly reports for a cluster
- Liaise with banker and ensure timely cash collections
- Monitor inventory reorder levels and process requisitions for restocking of AIP fertilizers for depots within cluster
- Production of general receipts returns and introspection reports
- Supervising subordinates
d) QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate must have:
- A full Malawi School Certificate of Education with Credit in Mathematics and English, plus Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, Agri-Business Management or any related disciplines.
- Must have a valid motor cycle licence.
- 2 years of work experience in a busy Monitoring and Evaluation or sales office.
