skilled professional volunteers with national partners. In order to deliver our mandate, VSO
Malawi seeks to recruit a Technical Manager. The position will be based in Lilongwe and will
report to the Digital Education Manager, Unlocking Talent (UT) Project.
Role Overview
The Technical Manager will provide leadership and managerial oversight for the efficient
and effective technical functionality of the Unlocking Talent programme in Malawi. Lead the
technical team in comprehensive technical and IT support to the Unlocking Talent Programme by ensuring the smooth functionality of all software and hardware elements in all UT Learning Centres. Lead in Digital Education Technology maintenance, troubleshooting and tracking of all tablets and Unlocking Talent equipment.
Minimum Requirements
Essential
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree level in IT or relevant technical field.
- Excellent computer skills including hardware and software maintenance.
- Experience in working in a demanding technical support role in a similar environment.
- Very good communication skills both written and verbal. Including ability to communicate sensitively and assertively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Valid drivers’ license.
Desirable
- Previous experience working in a similar function especially in an NGO environment.
- Experience in using iOS and Apple products.
