TITLE: Technical Coordinator: Livelihoods and Humanitarian
ROLE PURPOSE
The major responsibility of the Technical Coordinator: Livelihoods and Humanitarian Response is to provide oversight and management of thematic activities under livelihoods, disaster management, and humanitarian response programming. The Coordinator will lead FOCCADs agriculture, resilience, and disaster management work through the provision of expertise and strategic policy guidance on climate-smart production, resilience building, and leading humanitarian response activities.
SCOPE OF ROLE
Reports to: Senior Programs Coordinator
Qualifications:
- Degree in Agriculture extension, disaster management, or any related field
- Five or more years’ experience in livelihoods and disaster management programming.
- Experience in food systems development and programming
- Outstanding knowledge of agriculture and disaster-related strategic policies and guidelines for Malawi.
- Strong computer, data analysis, and presentation skills
- Proven knowledge of project design, planning, implementation, and reporting.
- Knowledge of national and district agriculture coordination systems and structures.
