St Philomena Girls Catholic Secondary School invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following posts:

c) Humanities (Geography, Bible knowledge, History, Social studies/Life Skills)
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Teaching
2) Maintaining class discipline
3) Maintaining class records e.g assessment of record book, schemes and records of work, lesson plan, class register, teaching resources and class management
4) Formulating test items.
5) Compiling test results.
6) Coordinating with administration in class related issues.
7) Ensuring that the Science laboratories remains free from food and drink at all times.
8) Ensuring that teaching and learning is taking place in his/her class.
9) Providing counselling and guidance to learners.
10) Identifying student’s needs.
11) Managing and care for classroom property.
12) Any other duties assigned by the management from time to time.
QUALIFICATION
Applicants should have at least a Diploma in Education.
ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS
1) Must be a hard worker, willing to work even during odd hours
2) Must be a mature and committed person with high level of integrity
3) Must be a self – starter
4) Must have at least 3 years of teaching experience in secondary school.
