ICET is situated at Manjawira in Ntcheu District. The school would like to fill the following positions.

 

1. Job Title: Headteacher
Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:
The Headteacher is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and strategic direction of the school. This role involves ensuring high standards of education, fostering a positive school culture, and promoting the well-being of students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide visionary leadership and direction to the school community.
  • Develop and implement the school’s strategic plan and educational vision.
  • Ensure the delivery of a high-quality curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes student engagement and achievement.
  • Lead and manage staff, providing support and professional development opportunities
  • Oversee the school’s budget and resources, ensuring effective allocation and use.
  • Engage with parents, the community, and stakeholders to promote the school’s mission and values.
  • Ensure compliance with educational policies, regulations, and standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate student performance and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Promote the welfare and safeguarding of all students.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree and teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of educational policies and practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate staff and students.

 

 

2. Job Title: Teacher
Subjects: Mathematics Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) • Languages (English, KiSwahili, French, chichewa) • Social Studies (History, Geography, Civic Education) • Physical Education, Art and Design, Accounting, Computer Science, Business Studies, Technical (metal work, clothing and textile, technical drawing, woodwork, electrical and electronics).

Job Summary:
The Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality education to students, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting the academic and personal development of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the curriculum standards.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and concerns.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support school initiatives and programs.
  • Uphold school policies and procedures, including those related to student behavior and safety.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree and teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, teaching license).
  • Strong knowledge of the subject area and curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Experience in classroom management and lesson planning.
