SPECIAL NEEDS TEACHING ASSISTANT
Kamuzu Academy is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work with pupils aged 4 to 18 years in Kamuzu Academy Primary School as well as in the Secondary School. They will be working alongside the SENCO to establish the Special Needs Team at the Academy.
The successful candidates must hold a Diploma or Degree in Special Needs
Education and have experience of conducting diagnostic standardised tests as well as writing Personal Education Plans. They will work with pupils both in and outside the classroom and provide advice ad guidance to class teachers and subject teachers.
Kamuzu Academy is a selective, co-educational boarding school for students aged 11 to 18 years. We occupy a large, purpose-built campus about 2 hours north of the Capital City Lilongwe, with outstanding academic, recreational and sporting facilities.
Kamuzu Academy Primary School is a co-educational, fee-paying day school for children aged 4 to 11 years old, for the children of Kamuzu Academy teachers as well as children from the surrounding area. The school is growing and currently has 80 pupils from Reception to Year 6, following the Cambridge Primary Curriculum.
