Looking for solar system hands on Site Project Manager / Managers. Competent, qualified and experienced electrical installation Foreman. Our client would prefer Malawian Nationals who have been working in South Africa and are now looking to return home. This is a Senior position for a local growing Malawian company. They do Solar system design, installation and commissioning. To provide technical and commercial leadership on the implementation of sophisticated renewable energy technology in challenging environments. Reports to: Managing Director
Primary purpose: Project Manage the installations and commissioning of various different solar projects. Up to 100 to 200 KVA. With the ability to design systems on your own. Your primary role will be to manage a team and to get a team onto site. A lot of travelling is required. Experience in Solar Irrigation projects will be advantageous and 5to 10 years of working experience as an electrician. Must have two Mera License’s ( 1 x Mera renewable energy license), class D, or equivalent ie wireman’ license. Advanced computer literacy skills. And a driver’s license.
Job description / core competencies:
To provide technical and commercial leadership on the implementation of sophisticated renewable energy technology in challenging environments.
Project manager site foreman.
Detail design, project preparation and management, installation and commissioning.
Integration of equipment with existing Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing services and design/re-design of these services where there were none or the existing infrastructure was deemed to be unsuitable.
These services include electrical distribution, load management and control, plumbing and irrigation. System sizing.
Travel requirements: Extensive travel in Malawi, may be required to travel to Zambia and Mozambique.

Job Qualification & Experience:
Have completed a minimum of 40 installations. Advantageous if your have done some irrigation work, solar pumping and solar power.
Qualified Electrician.
5 to 10 years of working experience as an electrician.
Must have two Mera License ( 1 x Mera renewable energy license) class D, or equivalent ie wireman’ license. Advanced computer literacy skills. And a drivers license essential.
