ABOUT THERE IS HOPE:
There is Hope is a Christian Non-Governmental Organization that was registered under the Malawi Trustees Incorporation Act on 31 December 2007. We are a member of the NGO Board and CONGOMA (Council for Non-Governmental Organizations in Malawi).
POSITION OVERVIEW:
There is Hope (TIH) is looking for a Solar Photovoltaic Installation Instructor at its Vocational School at Lilambwe, near Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Dowa. Those who meet the job requirements can apply. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teaching according to approved syllabus and methodology
- Assessing, recording and reporting on students’ progress
- Preparing schemes of work and lesson plans;
- Organizing teaching and learning materials for the lessons
- Enforcing student discipline
- Maintaining class register and student progress records
- Maintaining available equipment in the section
- Attending to delegated responsibilities
- Enforcing classroom and workshop rules and regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
- MSCE
- Tevet Level 3 in Solar Photovoltaic Installation, or
- Diploma in Renewable Energy, or
- Advanced Craft in Electrical Installation and Electronics
- 3 years relevant experience
