Position Overview
As a Software Engineer at ValuationsAfrica, you will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of our software products. You will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and implementing software modules that meet the evolving needs of our customers and stakeholders. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that all updates and new features are delivered in line with the specified requirements while maintaining the stability and performance of the systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop Software Modules: Design, implement, and maintain software modules for our existing and new software products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all solutions meet both technical and business needs.
• System Updates and Enhancements: Work closely with the product and engineering teams to deliver timely updates, bug fixes, and enhancements. Ensure all updates are aligned with the project requirements and adhere to best practices.
• Ensure Smooth System Operation: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of software applications. Address technical issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted service and smooth operation of all systems.
• Collaborate with Teams: Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and provide technical input to enhance the overall software development process. Work with quality assurance to ensure high standards of software quality.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in PhP-Laravel, React.
• Experience with AWS Lightsail, GitHub.
• Experience working in a Linux environment, including shell scripting, server management, and system configuration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
