VACANCY – Software Engineer

All subsidiaries function as not-for-profit organizations and all net revenue generated are re-invested into the Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Institute, where we provide comprehensive lifelong education, ranging from catholic nursery school to primary and secondary education, and a catholic IT College.

 

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking the services of a professional, experienced and passionate full stack developer to design and implement new systems and features, as well as modify and maintain existing systems for adaptation to business and/or technology changes.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with team members to determine best practices and client requirements
  • Develop and verify intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of the company
  • Professionally maintain all software
  • Create updates regularly to address customer and company concerns
  • Analyze and test programs and products before formal launch
  • Troubleshoot coding problems quickly and efficiently to ensure a productive workplace
  • Actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions
  • Aid and support the coaching and training of other team members to ensure all employees are confident in the use of software applications
  • Debug and upgrade existing software
  • Gather and evaluate user feedback
  • Recommend and execute improvements
  • Create technical documentation for reference and reporting

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum: proven experience as a Software Developer):

  • Knowledge and interest in computer systems and the latest technologies
  • Laravel, React, kotlin Django, and/or .NET services development experience
  • The ability to learn new technologies quickly; An analytical mind
  • The ability to communicate complex procedures; Commercial and business awareness
  • Adaptability skills – multitask and work under pressure to meet strict timelines
  • Great work ethic; Project management skills; Must maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent attention to detail; All other duties assigned by Management
