We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Sales Engineer to lead our sales team in promoting and selling IBM’s cutting-edge technology products. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in IBM solutions, a proven track record in sales, and the ability to manage and mentor a team of sales professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a team of sales engineers, setting sales targets and coaching team members to achieve them.
• Develop and maintain expert knowledge of IBM products and services to effectively communicate benefits to clients.
• Drive the sales process from plan to close for IBM’s suite of products.
• Engage with customers to understand their business needs and align IBM solutions accordingly.
• Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to clients and at industry events.
• Provide technical training and support to the sales team.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales strategies and materials.
• Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity to provide feedback to the company’s product teams.
• Manage and interpret customer requirements to offer the best solutions and increase customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Extensive sales experience, particularly with IBM products or similar technologies.
• Leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a sales team.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to simplify complex technical information for non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel as required to meet business needs.
