The opportunity

We currently have an excellent career opportunity for a Senior Tax Consultant in our Malawi office. As a Tax Senior, you will be a part of our team who provide quality compliance services in many industries, such as: consumer products; energy; manufacturing; technology; communications; and entertainment. The successful candidate will team with talented and innovative professionals dedicated to delivering the exceptional client service.

 

Your key responsibilities

Your role as a Tax Senior will give you the opportunity to demonstrate an understanding of increasingly complex tax concepts and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations. Develop and deliver innovative tax compliance products with timely and responsive services and work products that meet and/or exceed client expectations.

• Make informed decisions in complex and judgmental areas
• Help to create a positive learning culture, coaching and counselling junior team members to help them develop professionally and personally as an influential member of the team

 

 To qualify for the role you must have

• A bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting, finance, or economics from an accredited University
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant Malawian tax compliance experience
• Strong decision-making skills and a proven record in leading teams
• Excellent project management skills, advanced written and verbal communication skills
• A dedication to teamwork and leadership

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

• The ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic team-oriented environment
