Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Property Valuer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough and accurate property valuations across various property types, including residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Additionally, you will undertake estate agency roles, ensuring that property transactions are handled efficiently and professionally. As a key member of our valuation and estate agency team, you will collaborate with other registered property valuers and estate agents utilising Valuations Africa platform to address any valuation or transaction-related issues, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct Property Valuations: Perform detailed property valuations for residential, commercial, and industrial properties using industry best practices and standards.
• Undertake Estate Agency Roles: Manage property sales, rentals, and leases, ensuring transactions are conducted in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with Property Valuers and Estate Agents: Work closely with property valuers and estate agents using Valuations Africa’s platform to resolve any issues related to valuations, property transactions, and client needs.
• Data Analysis and Market Trends: Utilize advanced property valuation tools and data analytics to support valuation and estate agency processes, enhancing accuracy and efficiency.
• Reporting: Prepare comprehensive valuation and transaction reports, ensuring all findings and activities are supported, well-documented, and comply with industry regulations.
• Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their valuation and property transaction needs, providing professional advice based on market trends, property data, and estate agency insights.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all valuation and estate agency activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience
• Educational Background: Bachelor of Science in Land Economy or Land Management or Real Estate or a related field. Those with a Masters degree will have an added advantage.
• Professional Registration: Must be a Registered Property Valuer approved by the Land Economy Board to practice in 2024.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in property valuation and estate agency roles across various property types.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in property valuation methodologies and tools. Knowledge of specialized property valuation and estate agency software is an added advantage.
• Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in preparing and reviewing valuation and estate agency reports.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex valuation and estate agency concepts to clients.
