The team comprises of innovative, solutions oriented people that work closely with Sun King’s global and regional Research and Procurement, Sales, Finance, and Marketing teams to make sure hundreds of thousands of Sun King products reach last-mile consumers each month.

About the role:

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Senior Operations associate will support the Operations Team by performing a variety of processes to ensure consistent service delivery as per assigned KPIs. This will include but not limited to Procurement, Inbound Logistics, Outbound Logistics, inventory management and Warehouse Operations.

What you would be expected to do:

Operations Management

  • Demonstrate practical ability to handle huge chunks of data analysis using Vlookup, Pivot tables, and advance excel formula, and reporting.
  • Inventory reporting, Planning and Forecasting
  • Independently think through operational processes and design sustainable solutions

Warehouse and Inventory Management

  • Implement and oversee the management of warehouse and stock points – ensuring stocks are managed through inventory management best practices.
  • Monitoring the inventory needs while coordinating with the sales team and escalating to relevant teams as needed in order to meet business needs and timelines.

Procurement:

  • ERP system transactions
  • Maintain an up to date approved vendors database
  • Establishing and management of supplier relationships
  • Handle end to end procurement processes
  • Cash flow forecasting

Inbound & Outbound Logistics:

  • Establishing and management of 3PL relationships such as but not limited to clearing and forwarding agents, warehousing agents, local distribution agents.
  • System transactions for all in/outbound logistics.

Any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

You might be a strong candidate if you have:

  • Bachelors degree qualification from a recognized institution preferably in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Procurement and Logistics or related discipline
  • 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management and Operations
  • High proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Google sheets and Excel)
  • Proven experience of working with an ERP system
  • Demonstratable knowledge of the relevant legislation pertaining to the region; knowledgeable about import/export, transport routes, inventory management, warehousing and distribution networks.
  • Prior experience in business planning, procurement, warehouse, retail management and last mile distribution management.
  • Ability to multi-task and address competing priorities
  • Passion about working with rural, off-grid consumers and resolving their issues and driven by the social mission to provide energy to consumers and employment to rural communities.
  • Very good interpersonal/collaboration skills; able to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, members and external partners,
  • Goal-oriented mindset and are an organized team player
  • the ability to work remotely under minimal supervision
