Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawian candidates to fill the following vacant posts existing at Mwanza District Council.
Post: Senior Nursing Officer
Grade: H/M5
Location: Mwanza District Council
Duties
1. Plan and implement comprehensive quality nursing care, using the nursing/midwifery process of critical thinking.
2. Perform activities of daily living for the patients 24 hours/day,
3. Collaborate with other health workers in meeting specific needs for the patients,
4. Facilitate adherence to standard precautions of infection prevention and control practices,
5. Build therapeutic relationship with patients, guardians and fellow health workers,
6. Document and maintain accurate records of all nursing care activities performed,
7. Maintain professional code of conduct,
8. Develop ward/department policies in consultation with other multidisciplinary team members.
Qualifications
Applicants must be a serving nursing officers (Grade HI/M6) in possession of bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Midwifery, pediatric nursing or nursing education from a well-recognized institution with a minimum experience of 4 years’ at Grade I/M6 and must be serving officer within Local authorities.
