Nature and scope of position
The job of Senior Internal Auditor was established for the purposes of planning and conducting audits and internal consultancy work in line with the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the bank’s Internal Audit Policies and Procedures Manual This process starts with the preparation and approval of the annual risk based internal audit plan to the delivery of value adding reports and recommendations produced in adherence to set Quality standards and timelines

4. Good interpersonal written and oral communication skills
5 Have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken;
6. Ability to demonstrate good judgment and a strong learning curve to understand the
bank’s business process
Qualifications and experience
1. Minimum of Bachelor’s cegree from a recognised University in Internal Audit,
Accounting, Finance Management, or Computer Information Systems
2 Must have either ACCA/CIMA or CIA
3 At least four years auditing, accounting or related experience, preferably in a professional audit firm.
4 Knowledge of Windows and MS applications. The incumbent will also be pected to master the use of TeamMate audit software and general data analytics skills within a maximum of 6 months from the date of reporting
Key Responsibilities
1 Participate in the development and preparation of the risk based annuel audit plan
outlining the activities which are to be undertaken during the year.
2 Develop and ruviow audit engagement plans before the commencement of the
engagement
3 Conduct audit tests, evalute the results and draw conclusions, discuss with the relevant stakeholders prior to drafting reports
4 For all processes audited the incumbent will review and evaluate the system of internal controls and assess their adequacy and effectiveness and where appropriate, draft potential recommendations for improvement.
5 Produce a summary of work conducted and conclusions drawn, complete with detailed work papers within an agreed time frame
6 Follow up on implementation of corrective actions as per agreed plan
7 Provide consulting services to internal clients

The position offers a remuneration package and benefits commensurate with its seniority level of kills and experience.
