VACANCY
Holy Family Mission Hospital (HFMH) is under Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM) under the Archdiocese of Blantyre of the Roman Catholic Church. It is situated in Phalombe district. Applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the vacant position below are being invited:
JOB TITLE: SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (GRADE H)
Reporting to Principal Hospital Administrator.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily administrative operations to ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
- Develop, implement, and review administrative procedures to improve efficiency
- Supervise administrative staff
- Assist in budget preparation, financial reporting and expenditure monitoring
- Manage procurement processes for office supplies, equipment and services
- Coordinate with finance and HR departments on payroll, vendor payments and staffing needs
- Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations
- Facilitate communication between medical staff, management and external stakeholders
- Assist senior management in long-term planning, quality improvement and operational strategies
- Prepare reports, presentations and proposals for hospital executive and board meetings
- Analyze operational data to identify trends and recommend improvements
Skills/Abilities
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of healthcare laws, accreditation standards, and compliance
- Problem-solving, multitasking and decision making skills
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of bachelor’s degree in Public Administration/Business Administration or Bachelor of Science in Health Management or related field from a recognized university
- Minimum of five {5} years’ experience in management position
Holy Family Mission Hospital will provide competitive benefits including gross annual salary of MK 10,646,136.00, free house, free water, medical cover among others.
