A job opportunity has arisen and MM (Operations) Limited seeks to fill the following vacancy and appoint a self-motivated and driven individual to become part of its dynamic team. The position will be based in Salima.

Job Title: Security Officer

The successful applicant will report directly to: The Farm & Factory Managers and is specifically responsible for:

• Directly responsible for the Farm and Factory security personnel at company Farm(s) and Factory
  Site.
• Collecting data and information for security purposes and analyse reports submitted by security
  Guards as per their contract assignments. Work with stores department Factory Manager and the Farm Manager on security compliance requirements.
• Generate the weekly security roaster and leave schedules for the security department.
• Responsible for the production of security protocols, procedures and regulations as well as security
  service plans for Farm(s) and Factory Site.
• Initiate purchase requisitions for the security department and submit them to Farm Manager and
  Factory Manager for approval.
• Coordinates all security services on Company Farm(s) and Factory Site and ensure that Health
  and Safety regulations covered under the security services provisions are adhered to as well as
  ensuring that all security protocols, procedures and regulations are observed.
• Communicate effectively with internal staff on security protocols and services as well as timely
  reporting of incidences requiring state security intervention.
• Ensure the safety of Security Guards and own safety when discharging security services on the farm(s) and factory
• Ensure that every Security Guard has adequate security registers, protective clothing and equipment.
• Assist Police with enquires by providing access to CCTV footage and recording
• Preparing periodic reports.

The desired candidates must have the following qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and
abilities:

• Diploma in Security Studies.
• Clean motorcycle license.
• Knowledge of security services and regulations.
• Minimum of at least three years of experience in security services and should be familiar with the
  security systems in Malawi.
• Excellent knowledge of investigative skills and practices with attention to detail.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in the usage of computer and relevant security software
  applications.
• Fair understanding of the criminal procedure and evidence code.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Good communication. Numerical, analytical ad report writing skills.
• Experience working with security agencies in Malawi will be an added advantage
