Security Manager at Sparc Systems Ltd

Reports to:  Financial Controller

Location: Lilongwe, Malawi

The Person:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Security Manager to lead our security team in ensuring the safety and security of our employees, visitors, and company assets.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for physical security solutions at Sparc Head Office
• Lead and manage the security team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective security operations.
• Develop and implement comprehensive security protocols, procedures, and policies to prevent and respond to security incidents.
• Conduct regular security risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation measures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security.
• Manage the security budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
• Foster strong relationships with local law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders.
• Investigate security incidents, gathering evidence and reporting findings.
• Provide security awareness training to employees and visitors.
• Ensure security equipments and systems including CCTVs and access control systems are properly maintained, functioning and up to date.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in security management. Former Police or Military  background will have added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and laws.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
• Advanced diploma or Diploma in a related field is preferred.
• Certifications/Licenses:- First aid certification.
