SECRETARY

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the renewed position of Secretary to the Diocesan Secretary tenable at the Diocesan Secretariat.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for performing administrative tasks and directly reporting to the Diocesan Secretary, the Secretary shall inter alia be:

  • Assisting in performing HR and Administrative functions
  • Handling Secretariat correspondences
  • Maintaining diaries and arranging appointments for the Diocesan Secretary
  • Typing, preparing and collating confidential reports and official documents
  • Maintaining a Filing System for easy information retrieval
  • Organising and servicing meetings (producing agendas and taking meeting minutes)
  • Managing Diocesan Secretarial databases
  • Implementing new procedures and administrative systems
  • Coordinating mail shots and publicity tasks within new ICT spectrum.

Qualification and Experience

Certificate/Diploma in Secretarial Studies from an accredited Institution

Excellent knowledge of Micrososft word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access and Publisher

Be an Internet savy with office emailing skills

Knowledge of HR and Administrative systems

Shorthand speed of 120 words per minute and Typing Speed of 60 words per minute

At least two years of relevant experience
