Key responsibilities:
This school administrator plays a crucial role in managing the delivery of a high-quality administrative service that supports the day-to-day functions of the school at every level, while also contributing to long term strategic planning and development processes. The Administrator will provide administrative and HR support for all levels of employees at the school including teaching staff, management and administrative staff and junior staff. As well as helping to facilitate effective communication between all stakeholders of the school and external entities.
Familiarity with the school’s financial workings is essential as the administrator is part of the senior management team managing the effective use of the school’s resources to meet the educational aims of the school.
Essential qualifications & skills
- University degree in Business Administration with a focus on management
- Minimum 7 years’ experience working in a similar administrative/management position within Malawi
- Experience with Human Resources management in Malawi
- Demonstrated understanding and experience with financial management
- Sound knowledge of Malawi’s Employment Act and Malawi Revenue Authority rules and regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with adults and children
- Experience with Project Management and Procurement
- Confident computer literacy using Word and Excel
