Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons of Malawi origin to fill various vacant posts within the company tenable at Head Office as follows;
SCADA ENGINEER- EG6
JOB SPECIFICATION
- Propose requirements for the expansion and upgrade of the Generation SCADA system.
- Control and monitor Revenue and Capital expenditure for the Generation SCADA section in line with approved budget.
- Carry out day-to-day smooth running of the Generation SCADA operations through
controlled usage of both human and material resources. - Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance for SCADA equipment.
- Oversee installation and commissioning of Generation SCADA equipment.
- Control and monitor expenditure in SCADA section through proper procurements and
control in use of resources. - Prepare and review maintenance procedures and monitoring their implementation.
- Ensure that the Generation SCADA system and all the accessories are available at all
times and used properly by the operators. - Ensure that all faults in the SCADA system are attended to as quickly as possible, so that the downtime is kept to a minimum.
- Ensure that preventive maintenance schedules are in place and adhered to at all times.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
- A holder of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in the power sector.
- Physically fit.
- Be conversant with MS Word, MS Excel.
- Be willing to work odd hours.
- Have a valid driving license.
- Possess good analytical, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be registered with the Malawi Engineering Institution.
- Be aged between 30 – 40 years.
