Alliance One Tobacco (Malawi) Ltd is seeking applications for the position of:
SAMPLE ROOM CLERK – SEASONAL
The successful applicant will be reporting to the Sample Room Supervisor.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cuts samples as instructed by the sample room supervisor
- Moves samples from one Shed to the other as directed by the buyers
- Arrange samples for customers viewing as per buyers requested
- Record and track samples dispatches
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the sample room.
- Ensure that the samples are properly organised and stored in the correct locations
- Performs any other duties as assigned by the supervisors
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of Malawi School Certificate of Education with at least three years experience
- A Certificate in Tobacco or an equivalent qualification is a plus
- Must be computer literate
- Strong knowledge and understating of Tobacco sample room operations
The Person:
Dynamic self-starter with excellent communication, good interpersonal skills, team player, able to work with minimum supervision, of sober habits and trustworthy and with high regard for personal integrity and trustworthiness.
The position will be based in Lilongwe, and a competitive remuneration and commensurate company benefits will be offered.
