Overview

Position:  Sales Representative

Contract: 2 years

Location: Salima

We are searching for an experienced and detail-oriented Sales Representative to join our growing institution. In this position, you will interact directly with customers throughout all phases of the sales process. You will be responsible for identifying customer’s needs, pitching relevant products or services, and ensuring customers have a positive experience from start to finish. To be successful in this post you will require a mix of both building and maintaining customer relationships and consistently seeking new business opportunities. Candidate should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Marketing and selling company business loans and other products.
  2. Registering clients for group loans
  3. Training and recruiting loan applicants through various marketing strategies of the company.
  4. Undertaking household-based and business-based KYC process for loan applicants
  5. Building group structures and preparing groups for formal loans trainings.
  6. In liaison with loans agent, undertaking initial group members loan eligibility assessment using company policies.
  7. Identifying and serving private MSMEs as defined  by Malawi MSME Policy
  8. Helping loan applicants fill in all required documents and transmitting all the said information to management for approval.
  9. Receiving and consolidating sales agents’ reports for submission to Branch Manager.
  10. Instituting and conducting data collection on clients’ businesses to track their success records.
  11. Submitting weekly and monthly operations reports to the Branch Manager.
  12. Undertaking any other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.

Requirements:

Ideal candidates must possess the following:

  1. Diploma in Accounting, Marketing, Business Administration or Community development from a recognized institution.
  2. Experienced in Credit Management, Customer Service and Communication skills.
  3. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position within a service industry.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner.
  5. Ability to negotiate (i.e. use of full and complete information to negotiate best arrangement).
  6. Ability to work in a team environment.
  7. Detailed oriented.
  8. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and multi-task.
  9. Solutions-driven.
  10. Basic technical phone skills.
  11. Ability to refer to policy and procedures when applying information and making decisions
  12. Good time management skills
  13. Basic Motorbike riding skills and those who have a license will have an added advantage
