Umodzi Holdings Limited (UHL) was incorporated under Companies Act on 18th May 2012. UHL is 100% owned by the Government of the Republic of Malawi.
UHL is currently managed as a highly prestigious domestic brand under the name ‘Umodzi Park and Resorts’ (UPR) and has the following properties at the heart of Malawi’s Capital City of Lilongwe which form part of its business establishment:
Umodzi Park which comprises the magnificent Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC),
Banqueting Hall, a 5-star President hotel comprising 130 rooms and presidential suites; and
The Presidential Village comprising 14 world class presidential villas which offer unique accommodation and office rental facilities.
UHL seeks to urgently engage suitably qualified Malawians to fill the vacant position of Sales & Marketing Coordinator tenable in Lilongwe.
General Description of the Job
The Sales & Marketing Coordinator’s main role is to ensure that all Marketing activities are carried out to promote awareness of brand image internally and externally in line with UHL business strategies. This includes effective sales & social media management, servicing of clients, effective CRM database & effective processing of loyalty programs.
Key qualities
  • Mature, articulate and responsible individual who can work with minimum supervision.
  • Effective processing of Loyalty Programs; must possess excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Must be a motivated self-starter, dynamic and a fast learner
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Digital Marketing /Commerce/ Tourism.
  • 3 years related Sales & Marketing experience, preferably in the hospitality industry obtained from a reputable and recognised institution.
  • Knowledge of traditional, digital marketing, and social media marketing.
  • Experience with research using data analytics software.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ready and willing to work odd hours and during weekends.
