A well-established premium brand car dealership is looking for a Sales Executive for their Lilongwe Establishment. The incumbent must be committed to the meeting of all reporting deadlines which may require working out of normal hours from time to time. The candidate for this position will excel at creating and closing new opportunities. By using a consultative approach to selling, this person will use their expertise to identify and qualify leads, leading to sales opportunities with both new and existing customers.

Core Objectives

Understand all of the company’s products and services, achieve sales targets along with maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration and contact and secure new business accounts/customers.



Core Functions

  • Achieve monthly sales targets as determined by the company.
  • Promote/sell/secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
  • Demonstrate vehicles to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs.


Details of Function

  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the company.
  • Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
  • Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
  • Coordinate sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.
  • Analyse the territory/market’s potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customers value to the organisation.
  • Create and manage a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities.
  • Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of products applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service e areas.
  • Participate in trade shows and conventions.



  • 2-5 years of sales experience
  • Experience and working knowledge of Customer Relations Management (CRM)
  • Demonstrable track record of over-achieving quota
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
